Weibel Scientific strengthens scalable platform for growth in a changing security environment

Weibel Scientific delivered revenue of DKK 903 million in 2025/26, corresponding to 10% growth compared to the previous year, reflecting sustained demand across defence and security markets. EBITDA amounted to DKK 115 million, and investments in development remained high at DKK 106 million, in line with last year.

The performance reflects a market shaped by a more complex geopolitical environment, where increased focus on air defence and drone detection continues to drive demand for advanced radar capabilities.

Strong foundation and growing relevance of new air defence capabilities

Weibel’s growth builds on a long-standing position within Doppler radar technology. With nearly five decades of experience and a globally installed base across more than 40 countries, the company maintains a strong position within instrumentation radars, supported by structurally high demand across defence, test ranges, and space-related applications.

Building on this, the company is expanding its role in emerging air defence applications. The XENTA platform is gaining traction as a scalable solution for modern air defence and Counter-UAS, addressing the need for early detection and classification of drones and other low, slow, and small aerial threats. Increasing order intake and broader international deployment reflect the growing importance of this segment as a future growth driver.

Focus on scalability impacts short-term profitability

During the year, Weibel intensified investments in technology, capacity, and organization to strengthen its ability to scale. These investments have impacted short-term profitability but reflect a deliberate prioritization of building a more robust operating platform.

“We are deliberately building a company that can scale, operationally, technologically, and commercially. That requires investment now, but it enables us to meet the demand ahead and deliver consistently at a higher level,” says CEO Peter Hergett Røpke.

Organization evolves with demand

The company’s workforce increased by 32% during the year, growing from 460 to 609 employees, reflecting higher activity levels and increasing project complexity. At the same time, Weibel continues to develop its operating model, introducing more structured, program-based ways of working and strengthening capabilities within AI, digitalization, and software.

The organization has become more international, increasing the importance of maintaining a strong and cohesive culture as the company scales. “We’re fortunate to be able to attract strong talent, which goes hand in hand with offering exciting opportunities in an industry that contributes to a higher purpose of defending ourselves and our allies,” says Peter Hergett Røpke.

Entering the next year with a strong foundation for growth

Weibel enters the new financial year with a solid order book and a strong pipeline, providing a strong foundation to continuously deliver double-digit growth. The company expects continued revenue growth and improved earnings, supported by stronger execution and increasing operational leverage as recent investments begin to take effect.
