Corporate Social Responsibility
Corporate Responsibility
At Weibel, corporate responsibility means conducting our business responsibly, supporting selected social initiatives and considering environmental aspects in our operations.
Social Responsibility
Weibel supports a number of initiatives within veteran affairs, healthcare and STEM education.
As a company operating in the defence sector, we maintain a long-standing commitment to supporting Danish veterans. We employ veterans across the organization. We also provide financial support and sponsorships to selected veteran organizations.
We support healthcare initiatives through our contributions to BørneRiget Fonden, which supports Mary Elizabeth’s Hospital, and we contribute to projects related to research, technology and patient facilities.
Weibel also supports STEM education and knowledge sharing through collaborations with Technical University of Denmark (DTU). Our activities include student projects, research collaborations, examinations and visits to our facilities.
These activities reflect areas where Weibel chooses to engage through partnerships, sponsorships, knowledge sharing and employee participation.
Environmental Responsibility
Weibel seeks to operate responsibly and in compliance with applicable environmental legislation and standards.
As part of our annual reporting, we measure and disclose our Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions. This provides transparency regarding emissions from our own operations and purchased energy. Our environmental data is published in our annual report.
Environmental considerations form part of our decision-making when relevant to our operations, facilities, procurement activities and day-to-day business practices. At the same time, business, operational and customer requirements are also important factors in these decisions.
Our current focus areas include:
- Compliance with applicable Danish and EU environmental legislation.
- Measuring and reporting Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions.
- Resource efficiency in our facilities and daily operations.
- Recycling and waste management initiatives where practical.
- Use of digital collaboration tools where appropriate.
- Continued use and replacement of company vehicles with electric alternatives where feasible.
We continuously review opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce resource consumption while maintaining the performance, reliability and quality standards required by our customers.
